Coaching
At least one volunteer parent/parishioner head coach for each team, along with volunteer parent/parishioner assistant coaches. Usually there are 3-4 teams per grade level. If you are interested in coaching, please contact the coordinator.
Team Size
11 or less players - 1 team, 12-20 players - 2 teams, 21 or more players - at least 3 teams
Practices/Games
Practices begin 2-3 weeks before the first game and are usually held twice during the week. Coaches will determine final practice days and schedules. Games are played on weekends.
TournamentS
In the past, Christ King has hosted The Reindeer Games for 5th and 6th grade teams. Details of this or other tournaments will be posted here. Each CK team is allowed to participate in a set number of tournaments during the year. The 8th grade teams often receive an invitation to play in the Padre Serra, which always proves to be a season-ending highlight!
Parent Volunteer Requirements
Parents are required to sign up and run the concession area, collect admissions and/or supervise the gym during regular league games and tournaments. The number of shifts required depends on the number of children playing. The CK Gym Duty Coordinator will contact parents when sign-up is needed.
