Stewardship is the intentional and sacrificial sharing of one’s time, talent and treasure

in recognition that everything we have and we are is a gift from God.

Financial stewardship is the planned giving of one’s treasure to the church.

DIFFERENT GIFTS OF EQUAL SACRIFICE

Our stewardship philosophy is that while the dollar amounts of gifts vary, all households should be sacrificially giving. What is bountiful to some, may be unattainable to others given financial circumstances.

Families should prayerfully consider what is a sacrificial gift that intentionally deepens their level of engagement with the parish.

OUR REQUEST OF PARISHIONERS:

Every household gives a planned financial stewardship gift: Different gifts, equal sacrifice.

See Ways to Give.

Every household reviews their gift amount each year, and, if possible, increases it for the following year.

Thank you for your ongoing stewardship. Your generosity is deeply appreciated year-round. Like a household paycheck, regular stewardship supports ongoing parish needs like utilities, staff and maintenance, while every gift, given at any time, helps sustain our shared mission.

GENERAL STEWARDSHIP FAQS

What is Stewardshp?

Stewardship is the intentional and sacrificial sharing of one’s time, talent and treasure in recognition that everything we have and we are is a gift from God. Financial stewardship is the planned giving of one’s treasure to the church.

What is a Capital Campaign?

A capital campaign is a periodic moment to significantly invest in major repairs, improvements, or upgrades. This is a singular infusion of financial resources that occurs once every five to seven years. Currently, there is no active capital campaign occurring.

What is a Fundraiser?

A fundraiser, like the Auction, is a wonderful gift to make extra improvements but is not consistent or reliable for an annual budget. We keep fundraisers to a minimum, so households can focus on stewardship gifts.

Is there a preferred way to give planned stewardship?

Yes! Setting up an account online and giving electronically (ACH withdrawal from a bank account, or credit/debit card) through our platform Pushpay is preferred.

Can I set up recurring or one-time payments on Pushpay?

Yes! Both recurring or one-time payments can be processed in Pushpay. One-time payments can be made immediately or scheduled for a future date.

Do I need to move to Pushpay if I GAVE online WITH THE PREVIOUS GIVING PLATFORM?

Yes! All accounts and payments from our previous online giving platform ceased as of January 1, 2026. Pushpay is the only online giving platform.

Are there benefits to giving online?

Yes! You have online access to your account 24/7. You can make any needed changes to your information, access end of year statements, etc. It is also more efficient and cost-saving for the parish.

Is electronic giving safe?

Yes! Pushpay provides five layers of security for your financial information and Christ King does not have access to it.

Can I give other ways apart from online?

Yes! You can give through means of:

  • Check: (bank accounts, IRA distributions, etc.)
  • Pre-printed parish envelopes or your own personal envelopes (mailed, dropped in baskets at Mass or to the parish office)
  • Stock contributions through our brokerage firm, Baird
  • Matching employers gifts, asset gifts and legacy planning

Contact Emily Axt to coordinate giving of stock, matching employer gifts, asset gifts or legacy planning: 414-258-2604 x34 or EMAIL.

  • Holy Days
  • Memorials/Christmas and Easter Flowers

  • Christ King Chapter of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society
  • “Other” (Include your intent for the gift in the online note field or on the check memo line.)

ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

How do i make sure to get credit if I have a Year-end Donation?
