Parish Auction FAQs
When is the Auction?
The Parish Auction is held biennially. Our next Auction is April 18, 2026 at the Harley-Davidson Museum (The Garage).
What are the hours of the event?
The event kicks off with 4:00 p.m. Mass. Buses will leave Christ King following 4:00 p.m. Mass. The Auction starts at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m.
Buses will leave the Auction to go back to Christ King starting at 9:00pm.
Who can attend?
Anyone who purchases a ticket can attend the auction, even non-parish members. Due to overwhelming demand, tickets for the Parish Auction are officially sold out. You can still donate and register to participate through GiveSmart.
Join the waitlist in case additional tickets become available.
What should I wear to the Auction?
Cocktail Attire. Typically, people dress for a nice night out or what you might wear to a wedding.
Where do I enter when I arrive at the Auction?
The Auction is being held at The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum in downtown Milwaukee. Conveniently located off I-94, you'll find the museum at the crossroads of 6th and Canal Streets. Free parking is available on the Museum grounds. Buses will be available to and from Christ King.
What entertainment can I expect at the Auction? Is there a band?
We will have an amazing venue with fantastic MKE riverfront views, full bar, amazing auction items, games, dinner, fellowship and live music from The Playlist.
What type of food will be served? Is there a bar?
We will have a full sit-down meal with open bar. View the menu.
Where will I sit? What if I don’t have a table of ten?
We will try to seat you with other parents, parishioners, or alumni. You can indicate your preference when you purchase your ticket. List at least one other couple in the “Seating Requests” field. Tables of 10 only.
Do I need cash? What can I use a credit card for?
Once you have purchased tickets, everything other than tips can be purchased through GiveSmart. Purchase prices for the evening range from $10 to priceless!
I can’t attend the Auction. Can I bid from home?
Yes! Everyone who registers via GiveSmart will be able to bid on auction items prior to the end of the Auction. Select “Register to Participate" on the main GiveSmart page. If you win an item but are not in attendance, you can pick up your item(s) from the Parish office at your earliest convenience.
What's a Signup Party?
A signup party is a hosted event offered as a silent auction item. Guests “sign up” to attend by purchasing a spot, and all proceeds support Christ King. Signup parties can be anything — casual or fancy, big or small. Past favorites have included themed dinners, game nights, and parent socials. Unlike other auction items, the signup party tickets don't go to the highest bidder. The price is set and the first guests to sign up get to attend. Interested in hosting a signup party? Gift Gathering Info
During the fall and winter, each grade at Christ King School/Faith Formation, and the Parish host Gift Gathering parties. These parties involve our community coming together for nights of fellowship and fun, all while raising money to kick off and support the Parish Auction. These parties are a fantastic way to meet other parents and have a fun night out. Money raised at the Gift Gathering parties is used to support the Parish Auction. More info and gift gathering FAQs.
