Thank you for your ongoing stewardship. Your generosity supports those in need in the community, sustains our ministries, and helps us continue sharing Christ’s love with all who call this parish home.

What iS Stewardship?

Stewardship is the intentional and sacrificial sharing of one’s time, talent and treasure in recognition that everything we have and we are is a gift from God. Financial stewardship is the planned giving of one’s treasure to the church.

What is a Capital Campaign?

A capital campaign is a periodic moment to significantly invest in major repairs, improvements, or upgrades. This is a singular infusion of financial resources that occurs once every five to seven years. Currently, there is no active capital campaign occurring.

What is a Fundraiser?

A fundraiser, like the Auction, is a wonderful gift to make extra improvements but is not consistent or reliable for an annual budget. We keep fundraisers to a minimum, so households can focus on stewardship gifts.

Is there a preferred way to give planned stewardship?

Yes! Setting up an account online and giving electronically (ACH withdrawal from a bank account, or credit/debit card) through our platform Pushpay is preferred.

Can I set up recurring or one-time payments on Pushpay?

Yes! Both recurring or one-time payments can be processed in Pushpay. One-time payments can be made immediately or scheduled for a future date.

Do I need to move to Pushpay if I’ve given online in the past?

Yes! All payments from our previous online  giving platform will end January 1, 2026 and Pushpay will be the only online giving platform. Also, If you have been a recurring giver previously, you should have received an email with a link and instructions to set up your new recurring gift through Pushpay. Once your first scheduled Pushpay gift is processed, your account with our previous platform will be closed. There is no additional action required.

Are there benefits to giving online?

Yes! You have online access to your account 24/7. You can make any needed changes to your information, access end of year statements, etc. It is also more efficient and cost-saving for the parish.

Is electronic giving safe?

Yes! Pushpay provides five layers of security for your financial information and Christ King does not have access to it.

Can I give other ways apart from online?

Yes! You can give through means of:

  • Check: (bank accounts, IRA distributions, etc.)
  • Pre-printed parish envelopes or your own personal envelopes (mailed, dropped in baskets at Mass or to the parish office)
  • Stock contributions through our brokerage firm, Baird
  • Matching employers gifts, asset gifts and legacy planning

Contact Emily Axt to coordinate giving of stock, matching employer gifts, asset gifts or legacy planning: 414-258-2604 x34 or EMAIL.

Can I make donations to other areas apart from stewardship?

Yes! Donations can be made online or via check for

  • Holy Days
  • Memorials/Christmas and Easter Flowers
  • SHARE (Meal Programs)
  • Christ King Chapter of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society
  • “Other” (Include your intent for the gift)

ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes!

How do i make sure to get credit if I have a Year-end Donation?

In order to receive contribution credit for the current year, donations must be postmarked by, received in the parish office or made online no later December 31. Note: There is a secure mail slot to the left of the parish office door, if after hours).

2025 Tax Changes Note: This year brings significant updates to federal tax law with the enactment of H.R.1 - 119th Congress (’25-’26): One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) on July 4, ‘25. The legislation preserves several donor- friendly provisions of the ’17 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) while introducing new rules that take effect in ‘26. These upcoming changes could influence how you choose to structure your charitable giving between now and the end of 2025. Contact your financial planner on how to optimize your giving!

will i receive a year-end giving statement?

Yes! 2025 Year-end giving statements will be sent in the mail no later than January 31, 2026. Additionally, this year, parishioners with a current, active email address on file will also receive their statement electronically. If you have "recently changed" your email address, please contact Fabi or call the parish office at 414.258.2604.

Why not use a capital campaign to increase staff salaries?

A capital campaign is a one-time call for funding of large projects. Capital campaign funding is not replenished and runs out as the money is used. It is not sustainable to support salaries on a depleting fund. Salaries need to be a part of the annual budget which is supported through stewardship.

How were the new church doors funded?

The replacement of the church doors was funded through the “Love One Another” capital campaign. The original doors had deteriorated and were no longer deemed functional. In order to keep our Occupancy Permit, the doors were required to be replaced. The new doors will welcome many generations of Christ King parishioners.
