The first and fundamental sacrament and the gate to the other sacraments, Baptism is the purifying and sanctifying sacrament of rebirth. It is the means by which its recipients are incorporated into the church in a sacramental bond of unity.
The Sacrament of Baptism welcomes a person into our faith and our community. Parents and godparents promise to raise their children in the faith of Jesus Christ, and start to actively live their faith as a model for their children.
Baptisms are celebrated on the first weekend of each month during the Masses, and after the third and fourth 10:30 a.m. Sunday Masses on other weekends. This schedule may vary depending on liturgical evenings. Baptisms are not scheduled during the seasons of Advent and Lent.
Pre-baptism class is available monthly at Christ King as well as at nearby St. Bernard and St. Pius parishes, both part our Tri-Parish Collaborative. To make arrangements for a baptism, please contact the parish office at 414-258-2604 - Email
All parents wishing to have their children baptized at Christ King Parish must attend a Baptism Prep Class. Christ King will be hosting the next class on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00PM. Please call the Parish Office at 414-258-2604 to register for a class or set up a baptismal date.
