Councils
We have two groups that serve in an advisory capacity to the Pastor, our Pastoral and Finance Councils:
Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is an advisory group that provides support to the work of the pastor. The focus is on the spiritual activity of the parish, implementing a missionary vision as the parish strives to become a community of holy and faithful disciples, evangelizers and stewards. Active parish members, 18 years old or older, are eligible to discern for a 3-year term on the Pastoral Council. The Pastoral Councils of Christ King and Saint Bernard Parishes meet together. During the 2021-2022 Pastoral year, the Pastoral Council will be experimenting with different formats. Interested future members may contact the pastor. Read more information here!
Finance Council
The Finance Council provides guidance and advice to the pastor in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish. The Finance Council monitors the overall financial condition of the parish by reviewing financial statements, budget preparation, and all audits and reviews. At-large parish members with accounting, financial, legal, banking, and/or administrative expertise are appointed by the pastor annually. If you are interested in serving on the Finance Council, contact the pastor. Read more information here!
