Christ King/Saint Bernard Holy Hill Pilgrimage - Friday, September 16, 2022
The call to a Catholic pilgrimage is a personal invitation from God to temporarily set aside day-to-day life and embark on a focused journey to grow closer to God. In the Catholic faith the entirety of one’s life can be considered a pilgrimage with a goal of meeting God in heaven.
Christ King and St. Bernard Parishes are offering an opportunity for a 27-mile walking pilgrimage to Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. Departure is scheduled from the Swan Blvd. entrance of Christ King Church at 5:00 am.
Pilgrims capable and called are encouraged to walk the pilgrimage to Holy Hill.
Christ King and Saint Bernard parishioners are invited to send written prayers with the pilgrims to Holy Hill. All prayers will be carried on the pilgrimage and read at the foot of the Blessed Mother’s altar in the Shrine Chapel at Holy Hill. You may submit prayers at either church from August 20-September 15, ONLINE, or at either parish office.
All interested are asked to contact Josh Mount for more information: EMAIL or 262-622-3143.
Can’t Make it to Holy Hill?
Join others for a shorter pilgrimage with just as much prayer power! We’ll walk from Christ King to and from the Marian Shrine on 68th Street, approximately three miles each way. At the shrine, we’ll say a rosary together for all the prayer intentions collected and brought to Holy Hill. We’ll be leaving from the Christ King Swan Blvd entrance at 7:30 AM, Friday September 16. If interested, EMAIL Ann Baker.
