Christ King Holy Hill Pilgrimage - Friday, September 11
The call to a Catholic pilgrimage is a personal invitation from God to temporarily set aside day-to-day life and embark on a focused journey to grow closer to God. In the Catholic faith the entirety of one’s life can be considered a pilgrimage with a goal of meeting God in heaven.
Join fellow active Christ King and Saint Bernard Parishes on this 27-mile walking pilgrimage to Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. Departure is scheduled from the Swan Blvd. entrance of Christ King Church at 5:00 am.
Parishioners are invited to participate in this special pilgrimage in two ways:
-
Pilgrims capable and called are encouraged to walk the pilgrimage to Holy Hill.
-
Christ King and St. Bernard parishioners are invited to send written prayers with the pilgrims to Holy Hill. All prayers will be carried on the pilgrimage and read at the foot of the Blessed Mother’s altar in the Shrine Chapel at Holy Hill.
You may submit prayers at either church from August 22-September 5, ONLINE, or at either parish office.
