Children's Formation (K3-5th Grade)
We are so glad you are here, desiring to lead your child(ren) to Christ.
Our mission is to proclaim Christ and make disciples through the Sacramental Life of the Church. We do this in an intentional way through our formation process that aligns with this mission.
The key word is process. Your family and your child are constantly invited to explore, develop, and deepen your relationship with Christ and the Church. Our process of formation is set up to foster this in an intentional way.
2018-2019 Formation Year
Our offerings this year are not mandatory, but are available for your family to be invited to "come after" Jesus and "follow Him" in a more intentional way.
We do this first through our once a month (NEW!) Family Program. All families from our three parish communities of Christ King, St. Bernard, and St. Pius X are invited to attend. This opportunity is for children of any age and at least one parent/guardian.
Families involved in our family program are then invited to register their child(ren) for either Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (K3 and K4) and/or a Kid's Small Group (K5-5th Grade) on either Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
Those children who are ready for preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are then invited, along with their parent(s)/guardian(s), to discern participation in a special Sacramental Preparation small group and attendance at three Sacrament retreats during the year.
Want to find out more? Contact Samantha El-Azem, Tri-Parish Director of Formation for Children.
The registration fee for this year is $90 per child that is registered for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd or a Kid's Small Group. You can either pay online (Coming Soon!) or by check (made out to Christ King Parish). There is no fee for our once a month family program. If you are not a parishioner, you are more than welcome to join us, but a non-parishioner fee rate of $150 per child applies.
