From the Office:
Student
Retreats: At the start of each year, students in the middle
school participate in a retreat experience. Our 6th graders will be going to
VIRTUS:
The term VIRTUS and what it means has
changed to Safeguarding All God's Children. Approximately, four times a year an
article comes out for all staff, parents and volunteers to read. Attached to this newsletter, is the
first article for the 2008 - 2009 school year. Please read it and then return the half
sheet of paper
by Tuesday, September 30th, indicating that you have read the material. Thanks to all those new volunteers who
are getting certified before you begin your work here at school.
Gift
Wrap Assembly: The second of our fund raisers will begin with an
assembly on Tuesday, September 23rd in the afternoon. It is important that families choose
what fund raisers they participate in during these first weeks of school. Remember the magazine sale is 40% profit
and the gift wrap is 50% profit.
Between both fund raisers families are asked to raise a minimum of $100.00
profit. Once again, I thank you, in advance, for what you have done so far and
I encourage you to reach your goal within the next few weeks.
Book Club
News! First of all,
thank you to those who have responded and from the enthusiasm I sense, it
sounds like it's going to be a great year of Literature. We are still in
need of a parent to take the 6th grade girls and the 7th grade boys book club
lead! Thanks for your gifts, talents, and time. You are a blessing!
