From the Office

Welcome to the beautiful time of Fall with the brilliant colors that we see outside on our trees.  Let us take a moment to thank God for the beautiful creation that he has graced us with these last few days.

Hot Lunch:  Hopefully, all hot lunch orders and money will be turned in by now as we will be tallying and sending in the orders for our food this week.   As was mentioned earlier, we are having lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday just to see the number of students who will be participating on a daily basis.   We do need to have a consistent number to provide lunches at school; so we need to maintain a minimum of 40% turnout each day.  Please continue to watch your e-mail for updates, if needed, and continue to check your Wednesday Wireless for important information.  Thanks also to the parents who have volunteered to assist us with the distribution of the lunches.

Seventh Grade Retreat:  Please remember to pray for our seventh graders who will be going on the fall retreat on Thursday of this week.  We wish them a prayerful experience.

Fire Safety House:  Students in grade one and three will participate in activities relating to the fire safety house next Tuesday, October 21st.  Just a reminder to all parents in the school to discuss fire safety rules with your children.

Grandparent/Special Friend Day:  Be sure that your reservations are in for your child and his or her guest for the Mass and celebration on Friday, October 24th.  Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. in church and visitors are asked to arrive after 12:40 p.m. and meet the child(ren) in the room of the youngest child in the family.

Quarter Ends:  Just a look ahead.  The quarter ends on October 31st.  Continue to encourage your child(ren) to continue to work hard during these last weeks so that everything is caught up by that time.  In case you haven't checked web grader by this time, it may be good to do so.  All passwords were given out in early September.

Halloween Costume Contest Friday, October 31st:  The Christ King Student Council will be sponsoring a Halloween Costume Contest Friday, October 31st.
Classroom prizes and three grand prize winners will be awarded.  Judges will look for creativity and uniqueness in all costumes.
