This
is my third year teaching Middle School Social Studies at Christ King
School. I have a great love and passion for American History, Social Studies,
Current Events and Politics. I tell my students that they learn Social
Studies for three reasons. First - to appreciate their heritage; second
– to insure that the mistakes of the past are not repeated; and
third – to become patriotic citizens. I have high expectations of
my students, an enthusiastic, make learning fun and establish a strong
foundation for my students in Social Studies. I am Student Council advisor
at Christ King and look forward in planning and leading the eighth grade
class trip to Washington D.C. each May.
I am happy to be teaching here at Christ King School and an always eager
to challenge my students to do their best in school and in life. I always
remind my students what Thomas Jefferson said many years ago to a letter
to John Adams. “The promise of America is not in the history of
the past but in the future.” I challenge my students to work for
justice, peace and to make a difference in their world by standing up
for what is right. They are the future of America.
