Mrs. Anna Disher – 5B

I am excited to be here at Christ King. I moved to Wauwatosa from Minneapolis with my family at the end of the 2008 school year. The past four school years I was a 6th grade middle school teacher at St. Johns Catholic School in Savage Minnesota. I taught science and religion. I was also known as the technology geek. We had portable laptops and I always had a cart in my room. I integrated technology into my classroom using PowerPoint, web quests, research and projects that used technology. Before that I taught 5th grade, Title I reading, and math for grades 1-3.

I have a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. I try and create a classroom that is a community. It is important to me that students feel good about coming to school. I love to learn and I try and share that passion of learning with my students.

I feel so blessed to be able to work at a Catholic Christian School where I can share my faith with my students. I have been married for 26 years and we have 4 children (1 boy and 3 girls). The two oldest children are married and both had daughters, Remy and River this past year. Two of the cutest babies I have ever seen.

I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Christ King School. I look forward to meeting my students and their parents. I know that we are going to have a terrific year.
