Located in beautiful Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Christ King School is proud of its history in the community and its dedication to nurturing our students in both spiritual and academic ways.  Its rich Apostolic Tradition dates back to 1939, when the Church and School, begun and staffed completely by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, opened its doors to welcome everyone.  Twenty-four years and many additions later, our stunning complex included the Church, a Rectory for our priests, a Convent facility for the Sisters, and of course, our School.  Our rapidly growing student population of close to 1200 students filled the school.  Five additional classrooms were need by the early 1960’s and the school gym was finishing completion.  In 1963 our new generously sized classrooms, the gym’s gleaming parquet floors, roomy bleachers, and massive stage were bustling with life.  For the next 43 years our vibrant school reliably and honorably served students and teachers alike. 

In 2006 we broke ground on an ambitious and exciting renovation.  One year later Christ King School provides our community and neighborhood families and students with a modern, efficient and elegant facility which includes a spacious elevator, an efficient office complex, welcoming conference area, a comfortable faculty lounge and kitchenette  and work centers.  Visitors enter a safe, elegant atrium to name but a few of the impressive updates.  Today Christ King School, under the direction of the School Sisters of St. Francis and a competent, dedicated lay staff, continues to actively witness Christ to this community.  We begin each day dedicated to recognizing, accepting, and respecting Jesus in everyone.  Each faculty member is committed to the spiritual, intellectual, physical and personal growth of each child who comes to our classrooms.  Daily opportunities are provided to spread the message of Christianity, to form community within the classrooms, to provide prayerful experiences for all students and to offer service to both the local and global community.
