I have been an educator since 1985. I have a varied teaching background in both special education and regular education. I have taught students anywhere from 3K to the University level with the bulk of my experience being in early childhood education. It has been exciting to help facilitate the new 3K program at Christ King. Everyone I have encountered within the Christ King community has been quite kind and has made me feel welcome.

My name is Jennifer Lancaster. I am the Christ King K3 level teacher. This is my first year as a teacher here, but I have been involved as a parent and parish member since 2000. I have 8 years teaching experience and my Masters in Education. I love teaching because I love learning why students learn the way they do. The Catholic atmosphere embraces our creativity and having God in our daily lives makes each day special. Please know my door is always open for communication. We depend on the roles of our parents to create a successful classroom.

I have been teaching kindergarten for thirty years. Christ King has been “my home away from home” for 8 years as a student and 14 years as a teacher. Education is a gift that lasts a lifetime, and I want to awaken a child’s love of learning and create joyful school memories. Christ King allows me to create respectful, caring bonds with the children and their families, which makes for a wonderful kindergarten experience. Join us as together we play more, laugh, hug and work hard. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have been teaching at Christ King for 4 years, and I am currently attending Mount Mary to pursue my Masters in Arts in Education and a reading license. My favorite thing about working at Christ King is the support from families and staff. There is such a strong sense of community and, I feel truly valued and appreciated as a teacher. I absolutely love working with the little ones and couldn’t see myself working at any other grade level. They are so curious and they have such an intrinsic motivation to learn new things! Please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Welcome!
I am happy to say this marks my 12th year as an educator at Christ King School, the past ten being spent in kindergarten. I believe strongly in Catholic education and have been very fortunate to have remained in the field for more than 30 years. Every day I look forward to guiding, stimulating and encouraging my students through carefully planned activities that allow them to interact and learn with and from each other. The classroom is our living laboratory where we discover and learn through experimentation and investigation. We sing, dance, play, read and create every day! Kindergarten should be a happy time for everyone, therefore, open communication and partnering with our outstanding parents is paramount to a successful year. I feel so blessed and can’t imagine working anywhere else!

I have 10 years of teaching experience in Kindergarten. This is my 6th year at Christ King School. My husband Dave and I have been parish members since 2007. Our two youngest children currently attend CK and are in grades fifth and seventh. Our two oldest children graduated from CK and are now a freshman and sophomore in high school. Christ King truly feels like my home away from home. When I am not teaching, you will see me around campus at Mass, sporting events, and community gatherings. My teaching position enables me to give back to the very same loving community where we are raising our children. For as long as I can remember I have always been around children and found myself being inspired by their energy and love for learning. With each new teaching year, I look forward to the new hearts and minds I will touch in my class. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I have 15 years of teaching experience at the first grade level. This is my 3rd year at Christ King School, and I am so excited to be here. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade! I love working with children knowing that I can make a positive difference for them each day. My goal is to create a safe, fun learning environment where all kids succeed. Christ King feels like a second family to me. The staff, parents, and children create a warm community like no other. I am always happy to speak with families about Christ King. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I have 17 years of teaching experience. I am thrilled to be at Christ King. I love teaching; it’s truly a labor of love. I believe that educating the whole child, head, hand, and heart, is what matters the most. I embrace the different learning styles of each learner. I love that Christ King fosters warmth, love of learning, and a spiritual feeling of togetherness. My door is always open, please stop in or email me with any questions.

I have many years of teaching experience as a primary teacher. I am beginning my 13th year teaching here at Christ King. I became a teacher because I wanted to get young children excited about learning. I enjoy watching young children learn to read and have the whole world open to them through literature. Preparing 2nd graders for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist is a special time for both the children and me. Christ King is a caring, welcoming, community of people who make everyone feel at home. I am happy to help parents and students in any way I can. Please never hesitate to contact me.

I have been teaching at Christ King for 14 years. I began my career at Christ King teaching first grade, and am now thrilled to be teaching second grade. My favorite history teacher, at Tosa West, inspired me to decide to become a teacher my senior year. I went UW-Madison and graduated with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Political Science. I am entering my fifth year of teaching and my fourth year of teaching 3rd grade at Christ King! Previously, I taught a year of 4th grade in Stevens Point. I absolutely love 3rd grade and I aim to inspire my students to become lifelong learners! I love that Christ King is an incredibly welcoming and caring community that works together for the enrichment of all students! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Hi! I have 15 years of teaching experience, and this is my 14th year at Christ King School teaching third grade! My desire for becoming a teacher came from my social work experiences, working with families and children every day, and wanting to make a difference in the community. I enjoy being a strong role model for children and utilizing my Catholic faith to make this possible. My vision for teaching is to promote a student-centered classroom, where all students feel a sense of belonging. The one thing I love most about Christ King is the opportunity to teach Religion as part of our everyday curriculum, and to embrace our mission statement to respect and find Jesus in everyone we meet. Please do not hesitate to ask me for any assistance or help with questions. I embrace an open door policy, and encourage parent involvement!

I have ten years of teaching experience. This is my seventh year at Christ King School. I love seeing that light go on when a student makes a connection and understands something in a new way. I am also a parishioner at Christ King and have participated in a number of ways from coach to scout leader. I love watching our students grow and become productive, involved young people in our parish and community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.

I have been teaching since 1999 and have experience working with various grade levels. This will be my first year teaching at Christ King School and I am so excited for this opportunity of change and growth. Being a former student here, Christ King holds a special place in my heart. I have always loved working with children and appreciate each child’s unique gifts and talents. I believe that by working together we can help every student grow in faith and work to his/her fullest potential. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting all of you!

I graduated from UW La Crosse in 2014 with a major in elementary education and minors in Spanish and teaching English as a second language. My career at Christ King started immediately after graduation when I long term substituted for both 5th grade teachers, which eventually lead to a full-time position. This year I am excited to start my third year teaching 5th grade at CK! Teaching is my passion because I love creating meaningful relationships with my students and helping them become lifelong learners. I have been blessed to work in an environment that is so welcoming and instills the same values I cherish. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Hi! I have been a classroom teacher for the last three years, but have worked in a school setting as a long-term volunteer and a teacher’s aide for a total of six years. This is my first year at Christ King School, and I am incredibly excited about the new school year! I can already tell Christ King is a welcoming, faith-filled community that truly follows its mission of seeing Christ in all those you encounter. Being the second oldest of seven kids in my family, I have always enjoyed helping and teaching children. My favorite part of teaching is passing on the Catholic faith and values I treasure to the students I have the privilege to teach. If there is anything I can do to help or any questions I can answer, please do not hesitate to contact me!

I have been very blessed to be a Catholic educator for the past 24 years. During my 24 years in education, I have spent 14 years as a Catholic school principal and 10 years as a Catholic school teacher. This is my second year of teaching middle school Religion at Christ King, and I am very excited to bring the teachings of the Catholic faith to the students. I enjoy the daily contact with the students, and their energy and enthusiasm is contagious. I am always open to parent communication, so please be free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I decided to become a teacher during my junior year at Boston College. Since that was late in the game, I minored in Education, and immediately went to UW-Madison after graduation, where I received my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I then taught fourth grade for three years in MPS, followed by four years in WAWM teaching third and fourth grades. When my oldest turned one, I decided to stay home with my children. About twelve years later, I re-entered education and started teaching Middle School Math at Christ King. I feel very blessed and love my job. I thoroughly enjoy working with the middle school students. Christ King is a very special school.

This school year marks my seventh year of teaching and my fourth year at Christ King School. After spending time in theatre and nonprofits, I decided to follow my passion for children and helping others by becoming a teacher. My favorite aspect of teaching is getting to know my students. Christ King has been a rewarding place to work because I always feel valued by the students and families of this community. Please contact me via e-mail with any questions you have.

I am beginning my sixth year as a teacher and my third at Christ King. I am so excited for this year, as I make the transition to Middle School Social Studies. Prior to coming to Christ King, I taught both computers and Middle School Math. I have coached at the middle school and high school levels. One thing that drew me to Christ King was the sense of community, and I continue to see that every day. That feeling of togetherness and support has been one of the things I enjoy most about being here. Being surrounded by wonderful students, families, and faculty makes coming to work so enjoyable. I love teaching and know that I am going to enjoy the transition this year. For those that don’t know, I am a history geek. I will admit that I find myself watching the History Channel and other documentaries about historical events. You can contact me by e-mail or in person with any questions you may have.

I have over 30 years of teaching experience in Science for 6th, 7th and 8th grades. This is my 15th year at Christ King School, where I love teaching Science to all the Middle School. I feel extremely blessed to say that this will be my 36th year at Christ King School! I came to Christ King in 1981, left for one year in 1984 to take a position in Austria to sharpen my skills in teaching German, and returned again to Christ King to resume teaching middle level English/Literature as well as German. I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade literature and look forward to everyday I spend with my students and colleagues! We approach the study of literature, classic as well as modern, through avenues of history, psychology, theology, and philosophy through critical thinking, creative writing, and go beyond print to real world application. I think of my students as did the famous philosopher, writer, and teacher, Goethe viewed his relationship with others, “Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.” Please do not hesitate to email me or feel free to call if you have any questions, concerns, or needs. We are all family at Christ King, and we can overcome any obstacle. More importantly we achieve great things in the name of God for our children when we work together!
