Private Party Rentals
Christ King has two spaces that are suitable for private rental to the public:
North Hall (pictured)
is our largest facility and serves as the school cafeteria, seating up to 300, 10 each at 30 tables. There is an adjacent kitchen and serving window. The room contains a stage for programs.
The Parish Center
is a newly remodeled area directly connected to the church. It is accessed from 91st Street. The main floor contains the Mary Dining Room (pictures below) and a large reception area which can be used for gathering and food service. The dining space seats a maximum of 100, 10 chairs at 10 tables. The Parish Center is air conditioned and includes a kitchen facility. There are also small group/break out rooms for large scale events.
Both areas are wheel-chair accessible.
Rental charges begin at $125, and vary according to size of space and number of people expected. Private parties must also subscribe to a special event insurance policy, unless the group carries its own insurance. The special event policy is $95.
Call the parish office for more specific information and a tour of the facilities, 258-2604.
Parishioners may rent these facilities for private parties. When the occasion is connected with a liturgy, such as a reception following Mass for a baptism, anniversary, 1st communion, etc, the charge is $50, and no additional insurance is necessary.
There is no charge for Funeral Receptions.
You may print out the Special Event Rental Agreement , complete and submit to the parish office.
Meeting Space Reservations for Parish Groups
Christ King facilities are available to parish groups on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the parish office with your needs, 258-2604.
Groups sponsoring special event fundraisers should complete the Christ King Event/Fundraiser Proposal Form, and submit to the office for approval. Parish groups hosting events or projects involving the collection of monies should be aware of Christ King's Funds Management Policy and Procedures.
North Hall is available after school hours and on weekends.
South Hall is available after 6 pm weekdays, and on weekends.
Parish Center:
Mary Dining Room and adjacent Gathering Space
This space seats a maximum of 100, ten chairs at 10 tables. It is usually set with 8 tables.
The difficulty of moving and storing these very heavy tables brings us to request that they must stay in place. Groups needing a different set-up should choose a different space.
This space should be kept available for parishioner functions (funerals, receptions, special gatherings) and for some events and practices which require the kitchen or the piano. Gatherings for Simply the WORD, Generations of Faith and some Human Concern’s events take place here. It should not be scheduled for student’s regular weekly meetings.
Library
This is our nicest meeting room, and the library committee has recently completed the organizational work to make it a wonderful resource for the parish. This room is regularly used by parish committees. It is intended for adult meetings, and we ask that refreshments be served outside the room.
St. George Room (Scout room, #01)
This basement room of the parish center is large, seating up to 50, has a tile floor and is versatile in set up. It is the preferred place for student activities, and also works well for larger committees. The Athletic committee regularly meets here.
Small meeting rooms
There are 3 small rooms on the main floor, 7 rooms upstairs. They seat from 6-12 people and are ideal for small groups. Most have stationary round tables with swivel chairs, which can be a challenge for young students. Middle School book clubs could make good use of these rooms. They are regularly used by small groups of Confirmation students.
There is a piano in room #201, making it useful for practices and band lessons. The most versatile is room #207, the first room at the top of the back stairway: the tables can be moved, and 10-20 chairs put in any arrangement. These small meeting rooms would be our next choice for student groups when the scout room is already in use.
