Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)

"If God is presented to the child through tangible and meaningful activities, it will do more for the child than just arouse interest; it will create in the child a sense of joy, admiration, and wonder." -Maria Montessori

As we seek to make disciples of our children through the Sacramental life of the Church, we will be gradually implement the good work of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd within the Tri-Parish communities of Christ King, St. Pius X, and St. Bernard.

The Vision

This year (2017-2018), we will focus on "planting the seeds" of CGS deep within the cultures of our parishes. This will happen through CGS Information meetings (first one is September 25th!), CGS Vision Team meetings, Atrium building, reading of the CGS texts, your prayers, etc. As we prepare to bring this to our parishes, we will also host a catechist training in summer 2018 (dates to come!).

Our hope, through the work of the Holy Spirit, is to open our Level 1 (3-6 year olds) Atrium in the Fall 2018. Please pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom in the development of this beautiful work at our parishes.
